Scott J-R Productions' most recent project is the feature film The Wayshower starring Eric Roberts, Peter Stormare, Jsu Garcia, Howard Lazar, Sally Kirkland and Leigh Taylor-Young. Scott J-R Productions has produced six short films (most notably Me and My Daddy which screened in both US film festivals and private screenings) before creating their first feature film Spiritual Warriors (2006) which screened in 53 cities across 23 countries in over 300 private screenings. Dr. Jsu Garcia, Actor/Director
Jsu Garcia's twenty year acting career and his love for sharing and serving mankind through the teachings of the Spirit and John-Roger inspired him to create Scott J-R Productions with John-Roger in 1998. After working with some of the best directors and filmmakers in the business, including Stephen Soderbergh, Mel Gibson and with Robert Redford in the Sundance Lab (2005), Garcia first learned the ropes producing and directing with six short films, before moving to his first feature film Spiritual Warriors, which has received critical acclaim and screened in over 25 countries. Their most recent feature film The Wayshower stars Academy Award nominee Eric Roberts, Peter Stormare and Academy Award nominee Sally Kirkland and Garcia also plays the leading role as 'Jesus'. Garcia worked closely with Academy Award winner Dane Davis (The Matrix) on the sound design, and was mentored by Academy Award winning Director Stephen Soderbergh throughout the directing and editing process and the result is an independent film with strikingly high production value. The Wayshower won Best Ensemble Cast at the FirstGlance Film Festival in Hollywood, and continues to screen at film festivals in 2011.
Garcia is also the Director of sister company Gilgamesh Productions LLC, also founded by John-Roger. Gilgamesh Productions LLC is currently the distributor for the Spiritual Warriors DVD.
